The Alumni Site provides a place for school or district alums to gather and reconnect with one another. It can also be a great way for a school to look for folks willing to contribute time or money for school projects.

Alumni News
School Site Manager provides a way to create Web pages simply by filling in forms. Typically, these pages can be viewed by all site visitors. However, one can also specify that a page be viewed only by logged on visitors with specific account permissions. Select pages can be created and restricted so that only registered alumni can access them. This is an easy way to create alumni-only pages of news, announcements and other information of interest to alumni.

Alumni Directory
The alumni directory allows alums to create an alumni account on the system, enter contact information and other comments and enter two photos: one from school days and a current photo.

The alumni directory has public information and protected information. The public can browse the list of alumni and see their photos. They can resort the list by first or last name, maiden name or current name or by graduation class.

Registered Alumni
Registered alumni can do more.

  • Registered alumni have access to any pages that are restricted to alumni as mentioned above under Alumni News.
  • Registered alumni can see the contact information of the other alums along with the comments they've left.
  • Registered alums can create photo galleries that can be viewed only by other registered alums. The photo galleries are the same as the other photo galleries in School Site Manager: they consist of up to 18 photos and can include extensive commentary with each photo.

To become a registered alum, one need only create an account and enter his or her alumni information. The webmaster is notified and must approve the alumni entry in order for it to become visible to others. Once approved, the author gets alumni privileges enabling him or her to view the protected alumni material.

Easy Information Entry and Edit; Administration Retains Control
This system makes it very easy for alumni to enter or edit their own information thus reducing the maintenance workload on school staff. However, the school administration retains control of the system. Nothing created by alumni will be visible on the site until it has been approved for release.

Premium Option to School Site Manager
The Alumni Site is a premium option add-on available to schools and districts that use the School Site Manager Suite.
